Terms & Conditions

Option 1: Pick-up at our Production Facility

The most cost-effective way to get any merchandise is to pick it up directly at our production facility, located approximately 45 minutes west of Boston.  On-site staff will gladly assist you in loading your vehicle but will not be prepared to offer the protective padding you may need to prevent damage in your car.  Thick blankets are excellent buffers; please make sure to bring them along. Make certain your vehicle is large enough to accommodate your merchandise. We will not be responsible for damage incurred in shipping.  You will be asked to sign a standard form saying that you are receiving your purchase in good order.

Option 2: "Blanket-Wrap" Shipping Service

We work with several reputable shippers who will blanket-wrap your purchase and deliver it into your home.  Blanket wrap deliveries will generally add $100-$175 to the cost but is, by far, the safest and easiest way to deal with large, heavy items.

Option 3:  Common Carrier Delivery

Tables and chairs can be packaged and shipped out by common carrier on a palette and will usually arrive 4-5 business days after pick-up from our facility. The least expensive way to ship via common carrier is  "Curbside" delivery.  You will be expected to off-load the truck and discard your own palette and packaging materials.  You can request a lift gate delivery which will add $80 to the cost but will also make it much easier to off load heavy items.  IF THE PACKAGING IS DAMAGED DO NOT ACCEPT IT FROM THE CARRIER.  If you accept a damaged shipment you will incur the return shipping charges.  If in doubt, open the shipment when the carrier is still on location and take photos whenever possible.  If you reject the shipment due to damage, the cost of the return shipping will be covered by the carrier.  By accepting a damaged package you are acknowledging that any repair or return costs will be at your expense.   We will offer a replacement at no charge providing all steps have been followed as stated.

Terms & Conditions

Payment terms

50% deposit is  required on all orders and the balance is due when your order is complete.  We will not release any item for shipping until payment is made in full.    We accept MC, Visa , and AmEx.

Lead time

There is generally a 6-8 week lead-time for all orders unless otherwise notified.    Lead-time begins when deposit is received.

Return Policy

We take pride in offering quality custom items and will send you an order confirmation prior to the order being activated.   It will be up to the customer to make certain all the information is correct and notify us with 48 hours of receiving the confirmation to make any adjustments or corrections.    The customer is fully responsible for providing Lake and Mountain Home with all necessary dimensions  when customizing a piece.   Please make certain to measure correctly and account for moldings etc.  ALL SALES ON CUSTOM ORDERS ARE FINAL.

Variations in size, color and texture are common occurrences in aged wood and should not be considered as defects.  Such features as old saw marks, nail or worm holes, uneven boards,  sunspots etc. are what make these tables unique and special.  While every precaution has been taken in our finishing process to prevent movement in the wood,  fine splits may occur as the wood adjusts to new interior "climates".

We will repair or replace a table where splitting has occurred of ¼” wide or more.  Longer, hair-thin “fractures” may appear in dryer months but can be disguised easily with colored paste wax available in most hardware stores.  We will be happy to assist you in small or larger repairs however; we are not responsible for getting the table back to our facility to do so.

Breadboard ends may also extend beyond the width of the table during the drier months of the year.  This is normal and not considered a defect.  As moisture returns to the air the breadboard ends will once again be flush with the width of the table.   If you live in a dry climate you might want to consider a table without breadboard ends if this is inclined to bother you.
