Chestnut farm table

$0.00

For three centuries, most barns and homes east of the Mississippi River were built out of Chestnut wood until the early 1900’s when the trees were nearly wiped out by the chestnut blight. Within 40 years nearly 4 billion American Chestnut trees in North America were devastated. Chestnut disappeared from the market for decades and is now mostly found in the form of reclaimed lumber. While we can never guarantee the availability of old chestnut wood to use, we are fortunate to have some to make into beautiful farm tables and other case goods.   This wonderful chestnut wood farm table has been lovingly brought back to life for our customer in an 8’ x 48” x 2” thick farm table with our J-Cab French styled leg and custom square corners.   Finished in our P-44color, this is one casually elegant (and rare!) table.   Call for availability. Priced as seen: $3255
